A group of traditional owners and community members is embarking on a national tour to voice its concern about the proposed nuclear waste facility in the Northern Territory.

The group's members come from areas earmarked for proposed waste dump sites.

The Arid Lands Environment Centre's Natalie Wasley says they want to broaden support for the campaign against a nuclear waste dump.

"To show the people down south that even though it is a remote area, or they are remote areas that are being targeted for the dump, there are people living close by and running successful businesses really close by the site and it's not the middle of nowhere as the Government keeps trying to say," she said.
