Mining has resumed at the Northern Territory's Ranger uranium mine after the Office of the Supervising Scientist gave health and safety upgrades at the site the all clear.
In March, workers at the mine drank and showered in water contaminated with uranium.
Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) suspended operations at the mine on Tuesday so it could deal with issues raised in two Commonwealth reports on the incident.
A spokeswoman for ERA says the processing plant will open progressively overnight, with the mine running at full capacity by 12:00pm ACST on Saturday.
