The Northern Territory's Department of Mines says it has not made a decision on applications for an exploration licence at the Angela and Pamela uranium deposits south of Alice Springs.

Last December, Norm McCleary from McCleary Investments pegged out claims over the deposits after the Northern Territory Government lifted restrictions on the land.

Mr McCleary's claim gazumped applications from 37 companies.

The Supreme Court ruled the claim unlawful and in October McCleary Investments decided not to pursue an appeal.

A spokeswoman from the Mines Department says the other applications can now start to be assessed, but she says it is unclear when a decision will be made.
