Salisbury to leave ERA for new role in Rio

ENERGY Resources of Australia has announced that chief executive Chris Salisbury will be leaving the company to take up another role in Rio Tinto.

Salisbury will leave the uranium miner, which is around 68% owned by Rio, after the company’s half year results are released at the end of July.

He has been with ERA since December 2004.

ERA said Salisbury’s successor will be announced in due course.

Shares in ERA have slipped 59c to $24.05 in early afternoon trade.
