Uranium resources double first estimates: Toro Energy
ABC News Online
Mining company Toro Energy says new drilling results for the Napperby uranium project in central Australia shows resources double the concentration of first estimates.
The company says the new estimate for the project, 150 kilometres north-west of Alice Springs, is based on results from more than 300 drill holes.
The spokesman says a scoping study will be carried out later this year.
He says it could be some time before enough drilling and technical data is available to make a decision on whether to mine the area.
