Australia's opposition critical of decision not to sell uranium to India
Radio Australia
The Foreign Affairs spokesman of the Australian Opposition, Andrew Robb, says grubby Labor politics has jeapordised Australia's relationship with India.
The Federal Government is refusing to sell uranium to India because it hasn't signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Stephen Smith, says India has no concerns about the decision but Andrew Robb says that's misleading.
Mr Robb says it's telling India you can buy uranium from someone else but we do not trust you with ours.
Mr Robb believes this decision will not only affect bilateral relations but it would also cost the Australian community billions of dollars.
