Heavy rain has caused the suspension of uranium processing in the Northern Territory by Energy Resources of Australia.
One of the world's largest uranium producers is suspending processing operations in the Northern Territory until late July because of continuing heavy rain.
Energy Resources of Australia announced in January that it was shutting down the processing plant at the Ranger mine inside Kakadu National Park.
The company says the continuing wet season rain means the tailings dam is still close to capacity.
It's extended the suspension of processing plant operations for another three months.
ERA says there's also a large volume of pond water in the mine and operations in the pit have also ceased.
