THE Territory's only uranium mine lost $154 million last year.
Ranger made a $47 million profit in 2010.
Energy Resources of Australia said the $201 million turnround was caused by a four-month shutdown.
ERA said the mine’s future was bright.
The company raised $500 million to build a brine concentrator and dig an exploration decline, which could extend the life of the mine.
The uranium miner is in the midst of negotiating a new mining deal with traditional owners in Kakadu National Park and has $80 million worth of tenders up for grabs for work at the Ranger site.
